Here is the quick, no-nonsense cutting method that bodybuilders use and I used to get into top photo shape (i.e. lean and ripped) up for the naked Philly Mag segment. Nothing crazy, no supplements, no tricks, just doing the basics right and smart. Food is huge here.
Reduce caloric intake but cutting out the processed carbs on all but 1-2 carb load days (like Wed and Sat).
Nothing wrong with carbs, still keep some high fiber/protein carbs in your diet, but we need to get a calorie reduction and processed carbs like cookies, cake, breads, pasta, pop tarts, etc.is the least nutritious source to cut down on without effecting your systems. Plus the 1-2 carb load days will restore the glucose needed for the workouts and recovery.
Keep the lean protein and Pile on the veggies
Load up the veggies/fruits to as a replacement to the reduction in processed carbs. They are so low in calorie, high in fiber, water and nutrients that they fill your belly well. When reducing calories you don't want to drop lean protein down because you need it for satiety and muscles.
